L-1 Extension Beyond 7th Year Case Summary 05.23.2018

On May 23, 2018, Associate Attorney Catherine Dines met one of our clients in Fort Erie, Canada in order to assist him in preparing for presenting his L-1A renewal application to Customs and Border Protection at the Peace Bridge in Buffalo, New York. This L-1 application was unique in that he was applying for a renewal beyond the seventh year of allowable stay in L-1 status. Because our client spent less than 183 days in the aggregate here in the United States in L-1A status, we were able to apply beyond the seventh year. In order to document this, we included a detailed travel log, twelve months of credit card statements, and evidence of a home in Canada. Our client was successfully approved for the full three-year period. If you are interested in applying for an L-1 visa, be sure to contact Berardi Immigration Law toll-free today at 1-877-721-6100!
