American Visa Closeup

In June, the attorneys at Berardi Immigration Law met 17 clients in Fort Erie, Canada in order to prepare them in presenting their TN and L-1 applications to Customs and Border Protection at the Peace Bridge in Buffalo, New York. We are happy to report that all 17 applications were successful. Many of these clients were applying for L-1A status. The L-1A allows managers and executives of a foreign entity with at least one year of managerial/executive employment with the foreign entity to transfer to a U.S. related entity.  Several of these managers/executives were also beyond the capped 7 years of eligible L-1 status. However, an L-1 applicant that has spent less than 183 days in the United States is still able to renew status beyond the 7 year limit. To document this, we provide one full year of credit cards bills and mortgage or utility bills as evidence of permanent ties to Canada. If you are interested in applying for TN or L-1 status, be sure to contact Berardi Immigration Law to set up a consultation today!
