Canada Opens Borders to U.S. Citizens and Permanent Residents

Canada opened its borders recently to U.S. Citizens and Permanent Residents and Berardi Immigration Law made the trip from Buffalo, New York, to Ft. Erie, Ontario, via the Peace Bridge.

You need three things to travel to Canada (check out this video for more details about crossing the border):

  1. you must be vaccinated,
  2. you must have a negative PCR covid test within 72 hours of travel, and
  3. you must be pre-registered on the ArriveCAN app (watch our ArriveCAN app video here).

There wasn’t much traffic at the border when we crossed, and since all of our paperwork was in order the border inspection took no more time than usual. It was great to be back in Canada after 17 months of border restrictions.

Stay tuned, as we’ll have more videos from our first trip to Canada in a while coming soon. This is great news for people with loved ones – or even just a property (many of our clients miss their Canadian cottages) – in Canada.
