The E-2 Visa Process
During our consultation, we recognized an excellent opportunity: over the years, the parent company had made substantial investments in the U.S. subsidiary, making it eligible for the E-2 Treaty Investor Visa. The company was majority owned and controlled by Canadian citizens, and its investment in the U.S. business was more than sufficient to qualify under the E-2 visa category.

Our client attended an in-person visa interview and was issued a five-year E-2 visa. Even better, their U.S. company is now registered as an E visa business in Canada’s E visa program, allowing the business to sponsor additional Canadian citizens for E-2 visas and transfer key personnel to the U.S. subsidiary.
