Samantha Murphy is a Senior Paralegal at Berardi Immigration Law. Ms. Murphy is knowledgeable in all aspects of case preparation for family and employment-based immigration matters. She prepares and files adjustment of status applications, waivers, nonimmigrant and immigrant visa petitions, naturalization applications, and work authorization applications, with a focus on O-1 applications and H1-B applications.
She also assists with NAFTA based applications like TN’s and L’s. Ms. Murphy handles a large portion of the firm’s Immigrant Visa Processing cases which requires a strong knowledge of Consular practices. She also serves as editor in chief of the blog on Berardi Immigration Law’s website.
Ms. Murphy is happy to have the opportunity to help people through her work as Senior Paralegal. “It’s not every day that you get to work in a job where you help people achieve their dreams!” she says. “For so many of our clients, immigrating to the United States seems like an overwhelming, unachievable goal but with our help we can make their dream a reality.”
Ms. Murphy graduated from the State University of New York College at Buffalo with a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism. Prior to her immigration experience, she was a freelance writer and intern for various Buffalo-based news publications and a supervising lifeguard for the City of Buffalo. Upon obtaining a Paralegal Certification from Canisius College in October 2013, Ms. Murphy joined the Berardi Immigration Law team. She provides outstanding support to the attorneys by drafting petitions, communicating with clients, and staying updated on the latest immigration news and emerging trends.
In Ms. Murphy’s spare time, you can find her planning her upcoming April wedding. She also enjoys spending time with her beloved pug Oscar and whipping up batches of cupcakes in the kitchen.
