Employee Spotlight: Visa Services Coordinator Yvonne Grist
Yvonne Grist currently holds the position of Visa Services Coordinator with Berardi Immigration Law. She originally joined the firm in 2010 as Administrative Assistant, and was quickly promoted to Office Administrator. Her attention to detail and the individual needs of our clients made her an obvious choice to fill this quickly growing area of our immigration practice. Yvonne has handled over 1,100 nonimmigrant visa appointments at U.S. embassies and consulates worldwide.
Prior to joining Berardi Immigration Law she spent more than 20 years with General Motors Acceptance Corporation (GMAC) in Buffalo. She was employed in a variety of positions ranging from Accounting Coordinator to Dealer Service Specialist. “I was very proud to be part of a team that consistently ranked at or near the top in new contract volume in the Northeast Region of the U.S.”
Yvonne enjoys traveling to places she has never been in both the U.S. and in foreign countries. She takes a cruise each fall with her family, most recently to Mexico and Honduras. “I enjoy assisting our clients with their nonimmigrant visa interviews and visiting some of the countries where their interviews took place.” Though she has spent her entire life living in Western New York she prefers warm weather vacation destinations. “Spring and summer are my favorite seasons because I love to garden. Late spring you will find me at the local greenhouses planning my summer garden and checking out the newest perennials. I also love to cook so I grow my own herbs and vegetables in my garden. I enjoy creating new recipes and sharing them with family and friends. Winter you will find me busy in my sewing room creating a new pillow or curtains for the house, or mending or tailoring an item for a friend or family member.”
