Small group of young people at a business meeting in a cafe

On March 26, 2018, Managing Partner of Berardi Immigration Law Rosanna Berardi met with three clients in Fort Erie, Canada to review their petitions to be submitted to Customs and Border Protection at the Peace Bridge in Buffalo, New York. All three applicants were applying for L-1 status. Two of the applicants had very straightforward renewal applications. The first was for the President of a global company and the second was for the HR Manager of a global company. Both applications were successfully approved. The third application was for a blanket petition, which occurs when the sponsoring company already has pre-approval by USCIS making the process for each individual a bit easier. In this case, the client was accidentally issued an improper approval period. With Rosanna’s help, the client was able to have the error successfully corrected with Customs and Border and Protection (CBP) and was admitted for the full period.
