In May of 2016, Marleen Pfeiffer and her husband, Juan Reyes, reached out to Berardi Immigration Law. Marleen’s then fifteen-year-old son, Mads, was turned away from the U.S. border due to an accidental overstay on his ESTA. Mads was forced to remain in Denmark while his mother and step-father worked tirelessly to get him back into the states. After months of dealing with the government directly with no luck, Marleen and Juan contacted our firm. We were able to successfully apply for Humanitarian Parole to reunite Mads with his family here in New York. Our firm then filed an I-130 and Adjustment of Status application on Mads’ behalf and we are happy to report that Mads is now a U.S. green card holder! Mads will be attending college in the fall and will be playing division 1 soccer!
