On Thursday, May 17, 2018, Managing Partner Rosanna Berardi was one of the featured speakers at the New Exporters to Border States (NEBS) Seminar. This seminar is hosted quarterly in Buffalo, New York by the Ontario, Canada government and offers a practical, hands-on introduction to the basics of exporting to the United States.
Rosanna gave a presentation detailing an overview of the U.S. immigration system and some of the options exporters looking to the U.S. may have. The event also featured speakers on federal and state tax liability issues, currency exchange strategies, corporate and legal considerations, and U.S. customs clearance information.
In order to participate, interested companies must have been in business for at least one year and have a manufacturing or service base in Ontario. The seminar is geared towards companies who are considering exporting to the United States, exporting companies with new staff, and anyone involved in the export process.
