Ruth Garbanzo: Hi, everyone. Thanks for joining today. My name is Ruth Garbanzo. I’m an associate here at Berardi Immigration Law, and Andrea is here with me. She’s a senior counsel here at Berardi, and we’re going to be covering healthcare immigration, specifically J-1 physician waivers, cap exempt H-1Bs, and some other topics related to those. So to start off, what is an IMG? There are international medical graduates that are key to our U.S. healthcare workforce, especially in underserved areas. Just to give you an idea how critical they are, here’s a couple of stats. Twenty-five percent of U.S. physicians are IMGs, and forty percent of primary care physicians, particularly, are IMGs. Are essential to our healthcare workforce. And because of that, it is critical for them to have pathways to not only come to study here, but also to stay and work here long-term. So we’re gonna kind of give a quick overview of their pipeline going from J-1 residency to waiver to the H-1B, which gives them work authorization here in the US. So, Andi, did you want to get us into some of the J-1 physician waivers?
