Erin Ruiz

Paralegal

Erin Ruiz (she/her) is a fabulous addition to Berardi Immigration Law’s paralegal team. Erin’s work experience has given her the opportunity to help people from all walks of life. After studying Spanish and Latin American Studies during her undergraduate degree, her desire to make a difference in the lives of others led her to intern for an immigration law group in Canton, Ohio. In this role, she worked diligently, assisting clients with the immigration process, and oftentimes using her fluency in Spanish to interpret asylum interviews for individuals seeking refuge in Cleveland, Ohio.

Eager to deepen her language skills, Erin embarked on a transformative journey abroad to live in Ecuador, immersing herself in the rich culture and deepening her language skills. In a serendipitous turn of events, Erin met and fell in love with a foreign national during her time in Ecuador. Thanks to the legal expertise she obtained at Berardi Immigration Law, Erin and her husband now live happily married together in the US. Erin understands what it’s like to play the waiting game with USCIS and she is thrilled to have the opportunity to help other couples and families reuniting or pursuing opportunities in the US.

Upon returning to the US, Erin pursued her MA degree in Interpreting and Translation at Wake Forest University. This skill set transfers very well to the realm of immigration law, where meticulous attention to detail and a compassionate approach are essential.

During her free time, you can find Erin knitting and sewing clothes, or spending time in a park with her family.
