TN classification, established under the North American Free Trade Agreement (“NAFTA”) allows qualified Canadian and Mexican citizens to enter the U.S. temporarily to engage in business activities at a professional level.
Dentistry is one of the professions allowed under NAFTA.  To qualify for TN status as a Dentist, an applicant must possess one of the following:  1) Doctor of Dental Surgery degree (D.D.S.); 2) Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.); 3) Doctor en Odontologia; 4) Doctor en Cirugia Dental; or 5) State/Provincial License.  An applicant must also possess a U.S. license.   Many other professions are also covered under NAFTA.  Click here to view the complete list.
