Last week, three members of the Berardi Immigration Law team traveled to Fairport, New York, to attend the 2026 Annual Convention of the Women’s Bar Association of the State of New York (WBASNY), held May 28–31.

Partner Jennifer Behm and Associate Attorneys Gabriella Walsh and Grace Vensel were all thrilled to be in attendance, connecting with fellow attorneys from across New York State, engaging in meaningful conversations, and taking in a full slate of insightful CLE presentations.

The convention featured a diverse lineup of programming covering topics ranging from effective legal writing and law firm partnerships to data breach liability and medical aid in dying legislation. Jennifer, Gabriella, and Grace made the most of every opportunity, both inside the sessions and out, building relationships with colleagues who share their commitment to the legal profession.

Jennifer Behm also had the honor of presenting a CLE of her own: “Immigration Law for Non-Immigration Lawyers: How Trump-Era Immigration Policies Impact Every Practice Area”. In today’s rapidly shifting immigration landscape, the effects of federal policy changes don’t stop at the immigration attorney’s desk, they ripple across family law, employment, healthcare, real estate, and beyond. Jennifer’s presentation gave non-immigration practitioners the foundational knowledge they need to recognize immigration issues in their own practice and better serve their clients.

Berardi Immigration Law was also proud to serve as a Friend-level sponsor of the 2026 WBASNY Convention.

We’re proud of Jennifer, Gabriella, and Grace for representing the firm so well and for continuing to invest in their professional growth and the broader legal community. Their participation is a reflection of our firm’s commitment to leadership, continuing education, and connection, values that guide everything we do.
