About Ruth Garbanzo, Esq.
Ruth Garbanzo focuses her practice on guiding corporate clients through the employment-based green card process, with particular strength in permanent labor certifications, including PERM, for employers across Information Technology, Engineering Services, and Healthcare. She handles a broad range of employment-based matters including H-1B, TN, and L-1A/B petitions, as well as EB-1, EB-2, and EB-3 green cards with a special focus on physician immigration and healthcare cases, including J-1 waivers, physician National Interest Waivers, and Schedule A cases.
Ruth earned her legal education at South Texas College of Law Houston, where she also served as an Equal Justice America Fellow, contributing to immigration cases involving T-visas, U-visas, and VAWA matters. Before joining Berardi Immigration Law, she built her early career as an Associate Attorney at an employment-based immigration firm in Houston, Texas. Ruth is known for her client-centered approach, ensuring that every client feels informed, supported, and confident throughout their immigration journey.

About Cara Cox, Esq.
Cara Cox is a business immigration attorney focused on employment-based matters for multinational corporations and individual clients, helping companies facilitate the seamless movement and integration of international talent while maintaining full compliance with immigration regulations.
Born in Ecuador and raised in Central New York, Cara comes from a family steeped in law and international business, and that background has shaped her career path ever since. After beginning in insurance defense, Cara transitioned into immigration law to pursue more meaningful, people-centered work. Her experience includes time with the in-house immigration team of a large corporate tech company, an AmLaw firm, a boutique West Coast immigration firm, and pro bono work supporting victims of domestic violence and crime before returning to her hometown of Buffalo to join Berardi Immigration Law.
Cara earned her Juris Doctor, with a concentration in Cross-Border Legal Studies, from the University at Buffalo School of Law in 2016, where she served on the Buffalo Human Rights Law Review and competed on the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Team. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish, with Honors, and Political Science, also from the University at Buffalo.
